Becoming a Florist: March 3rd & 4th Weekend Intensive
Join our head designer Beth for our brand new two-day intensive workshop. This is a great place to start for new florists or those who are wanting to get their floral feet wet. Also suitable for experienced designers who are looking to master the Wild North garden-style aesthetic. We will walk you through how we do things, and cover everything from bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to centrepieces and flower care. Our studio will be stocked up with all the beautiful flowers that our resident designers use on a daily basis. Beth will happily answer all of your questions and encourage you to dig deeper into your creative pockets so that you leave this weekend intensive with a sense of accomplishment and heightened floral confidence.
Day 1 Saturday, March 3rd: Low and Lush Compote Centrepieces (in floral foam) + Bridesmaids Bouquets + Floral Accessories (combs, crowns, boutonnieres)
Day 2 Sunday, March 4th: Large Footed Ceremony Standard + Bridal Bouquets
Each session will run from 9AM-4:30PM. A light lunch and coffee/tea will be provided (roughly 30 minutes for lunch).
Participants may choose to join us for one day or both days. Attendees that participate for the whole weekend will go home with their own professional kit - an apron, our favourite floral snips and a lazy susan. Attendees will take home all of their creations at the end of each day. We will also teach you how to properly take photos of your work - feel free to bring a camera or use your phone. We will show you how we set up photo stations in our studio, and how we take photos using natural light.
Cost: $550 per day, or $950 if you sign up for both days.
