Before giving either plant a drink, it is best to check the moisture level in the soil first to ensure it isn’t moist right beneath the surface. If the soil is dry, it's time to water. The Pilea plant is quite communicative! Watch for the leaves beginning to droop, as this can be a sign that it needs water. Also, consider aerating the soil of your plant before the initial watering.
