Snake Plants, aka Sansevieria, are pretty much the easiest plants going. They are VERY hard to kill, make no mess, and require water once every 2-3 weeks. They can handle direct sunlight as well as minimal light. And NASA research shows they help keep the air clean by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. The perfect houseplant!
Ours is planted in this gorgeous baby blue and neutral 8” x 4.75” cove pot, and all together this snake plant stands about 19” tall. ---
Sunlight: Direct and indirect sunlight are both fine. Watering: Let the soil dry out in between watering. It should be watered once every 2-3 weeks, or once a week if in direct sunlight all day. PRO TIP: If in doubt, hold off on watering. It is better to under-water rather than over-water your snake plant. Don't drown it! Humidity: Dry conditions are preferred. Placing this next to a steamy shower is not recommended.
