Low maintenance and beautiful houseplants are what we're all about here at WNF, and we've paired two of our very favourites together; the Yucca and the Snake Plant. Each are planted in a gorgeous black and grey vessels, the Yucca in a 7"x 6.25" planter, and the snake plant in a slightly smaller 5" x 5.25" planter. --- Full sunlight is best for the Yucca plant and its growth - it will still fare well in a more shaded area, but will grow much more slowly. It's best to under water versus overwater a Yucca plant as they're very prone to water logging and root rot. Water occasionally in the winter, and regularly in the spring and summer, letting it try out completely between waterings. Fertilize only once a month during spring and summer! It does well in almost any type of environment, but moderate humidity is best, no need for pebble trays or misting here! --- Snake Plants, aka Sansevieria, are pretty much the easiest plants going. They are VERY hard to kill, make no mess, and require water once every 2-3 weeks. They can handle direct sunlight as well as minimal light. And NASA research shows they help keep the air clean by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. The perfect houseplant! -- The Fine Print:Remember each plant is a unique living thing and may have varying needs, especially in their individual locations. Pay attention to the condition of your new plants and its watering needs and you will have a long and happy relationship.
